Melanie Meinzer

Impact Fellow

Melanie (she/her) is a social scientist, writer and mentor who seeks to uplift BIPOC voices through her teaching and non-profit work. As a member of Cultural Power’s Impact Team, she enjoys thinking creatively about measurement, data storytelling, and culturally responsive evaluation. Prior to joining Cultural Power, Melanie recruited and prepared hundreds of students for nationally competitive fellowships at The University of Texas at El Paso, and organized professional development programs for alumni of the Mellon Mays Undergraduate Fellowship at The Institute for Citizens and Scholars. She has a Ph.D. in political science from The University of Connecticut, and was awarded a Boren Fellowship and Critical Language Scholarship for her research on foreign aid and Palestinian popular education in the Israeli-occupied West Bank.
