Help us do better
Our website is an ongoing work in progress. If something is not working for you or your assistive technology, please let us know by emailing us at [email protected] so we can support you as soon as possible.
Our commitment
The Center for Cultural Power is committed to digital equity. We understand accessibility is an ongoing effort and believe in centering the experiences of disabled people over legal compliance.
Our website aims to meet the requirements of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA, developed by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). These guidelines are widely accepted as the international standard for web accessibility and are commonly referenced for compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and other accessibility regulations. This website has been evaluated using the WAVE Evaluation Tool by WebAIM, which provides automated feedback and highlights potential accessibility issues.
Known issues
The site has undergone QA testing for ADA compliance aligned with WCAG 2.2 AA guidelines. At this time, only a small set of items are being flagged by automated audits:
Potential Color Contrast Warnings on Buttons and Hero Blocks
- Automated tools occasionally flag certain buttons and hero sections for insufficient color contrast. Our developer has identified these as likely false positives caused by the use of gradient backgrounds. However, all gradient combinations used on the site have been manually tested to confirm they meet or exceed the required 4.5:1 contrast ratio.
We will continue to monitor these components and validate them manually to ensure an accessible experience for all users.
If you need support or access to any information that may be limited by these issues, please contact us at [email protected]. We will work with you to provide an alternative until our website has been redesigned.
