We’re excited to share Cultural Power’s Narrative System (2025) — a foundational report that sets the framework for our next five years of work. Developed through a comprehensive review of more than 14 years of programming, from Movement to the Ballot Box (M2BB) to Autonomy Is My Joy, this report marks the first time we partnered with a narrative strategist to assess where our artists and culture bearers have had the greatest narrative impact and how we can move forward in deeper alignment.
Grounded in a review of more than 150 internal reports and campaigns, and narrative frameworks and predictions from the field, the Narrative System surfaces the core narratives that will guide our work — abundance, joy and resurgence, stewardship and collective care, solidarity, and love and hope — alongside rich storytelling areas to guide art creation and storytelling across climate, gender, racial and migrant justice, health equity, and civic engagement.
Ultimately, this report acts as a tool and equips us to measure narrative impact over time, strengthen alignment across programs, and resource cultural strategy as essential infrastructure for justice in a rapidly shifting world.
